He worked hard in the New York garment industry until he met his soon-to-be wife. Together they moved to Cleveland to be closer to her family. At that time, New York City was seen as a gateway to a better life, a better future, and a dream come true. Alan worked tirelessly to build his future from the ground up. He moved to Cleveland in search of his own destiny, and quickly began to develop his own company.
What began as a small-scale operation of selling plumbing supplies and plumbing components out of the trunk of his car turned into an extensive family owned business that would continue, grow, and persevere throughout the decades.
